B.S. Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

 Minimum requirements to apply for the major include completion of Biological Sciences 97, 98, 99 and 100L; and Chemistry 51A-B-C, LB-LC or Chemistry 52A-B-C, LB-LC. Barring exeptional circumstances, applicants must have a "B" average or better in Biological Sciences and Chemistry courses for the year preceding entry into the major.

Applications to declare the major can be made in spring, typically in the sophomore year, with a review of applications and selection to the major by the Molecular and Biochemistry Faculty Board completed during the summer.

No double majors within the School of Biological Sciences (i.e., Biological Sciences, Applied Ecology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Neurobiology) will be approved.
