Virginia Aleck from Chignik Lake called yesterday to mention the large numbers of dead birds they are seeing on the Alaska Peninsula coast in the areas of Chignik Lake and also Perryville. She specifically mentioned finding shearwaters, "whale birds" (fulmars, right?), murres, and gulls.
