Rumor among state agencies in California is that the fall run of Chinook up the Sacramento River started during the first week of August. Nearly 7-8 weeks earlier than average. Unfortunately, I do not have confirmation of this as I heard about it from a staffperson at the CA Dep't of Forestry.
