2 OCTOBER 1997. CALIFORNIA (U.S.): CLIMATE

Downey, California, approx 34 deg N, 120 deg W. From daily max/min temperature data, I have noticed a very noticeable upward jump of daily minima beginning end of April 1997. They ranged between 66 and 72 deg F, and still do to this date. Temperature data taken during the past 10 years do not exhibit such behavior. It is also very unusual that temperatures are not diminishing at this late date, when they would usually average in the high fifties.--G. G. Altman GrumpyGGA@worldnet.att.net
