STUDENT RESEARCH IN SUSTAINABLE COASTAL ECOSYSTEMS
The Mississippi River Delta into the Gulf of Mexico, Louisiana, U.S.A. (NOAA 1997).
A "dead zone" caused by overfertilization from agriculture in the drainage basin has extended out from the delta into the Gulf severely stressing the Gulf's marine ecosystems.
 

This 4 credit course can be taken on line for University of California credit!  It will be available in the Winter quarter of 1999 and the cost is US$ 425.
